The inspiration for my paintings I get from the fierce nature that surrounds me. Also the light is an important issue here in the northern regions of Norway. In summer the sun hardly sets so that it is light almost day and night when in wintertime the day is so short you hardly notice there has been a day. Also the ‘northern light’ (the polar light) is a phenomenon that occurs only during the winter and that has inspired my for some of my paintings.
